Get Moved with Economics

"The body of economic knowledge is an essential element in the structure of human civilization; it is the foundation upon which modern industrialism and all the moral, intellectual, technological, and therapeutical achievements of the last centuries have been built." Ludwig von Mises

My decision to major in economics is partly influenced by the capability of the knowledge to elucidate things obviously in terms of the incomprehensible.

Known as the most scientific branch of social science, economics tends to explain something with data analysis and commonsensical approach. In my family, I am known as someone who is attracted in up to date socio-economic matters and it is shown by frequently reading newspaper in the morning and preferring news channel to other television shows. Therefore, I hope by studying economy I can find answers in the questions regarding my inquisitiveness in day to day politic and economic issues, which are often discussed as main subjects on television or newspaper in everyday life.

With its very applicative knowledge, studying economics has brought my mind into the world that appears to be different than before. Learning economy gives me not only a further comprehension in major economic issues, but also an understanding in actual reasons and trade-offs behind a government’s policies.

Economics is really an inspiration; while other social sciences talk about perplexing and disputing conjectures, it presents an irrefutable elucidation that comes from precise analysis and logical theories.
